SPECIAL NEEDS
CAMPS
Ready for some summer fun?! Global Rehabilitation
Services Camp Empower programs provide youths ages four to twelve years old an exciting day program filled with a
multitude of activities! Each one week camp session offers a different theme, from Science and Discovery to
Olympics and Countries of the World! Each theme offers campers exciting and challenging opportunities which promote
gross motor, fine motor, sensory integration, and cognitive development from a group and individualized
approach.
Camps are scheduled in one week blocks, through the month
of June. Camps are conducted by trained, licensed therapists (Physical, Occupational, and Speech Language) and
Exercise Science Specialists, along with a large support staff, so that our campers enjoy a low camper to
professional ratio.
This camp is appropriate for youths with a wide range of
abilities, from ADHD, autism, CP, PDD, Down syndrome, and more. Most activities are also wheelchair accessible.
Camp size is limited, and early registration is recommended. We are not appropriate for the EBD
(emotionally/behaviorlly disordered) population.
The Camp Empower program is hosted in Homer and
Dahlonega, with additional locations coming for the summer of 2011. Please contact us for registration or specific information on the benefits of Camp Empower as it
pertains to your child. Click to see the summer 2011 camp flyer. Online registration
for the summer of 2012 will be available in January of 2012.
